What is your past experience with the DSU or with student life in general on campus?

This year I participated in dodgeball intramurals with my team Trojans 1. We have won three out of the four rounds that we’ve played so far. I always supported our team, and our team always had positive attitudes no matter who won or lost. I sometimes go to the Grawood when they have events on weekends. I participated in frosh week events, which helped me realize there is no university I’d rather be at than Dal. I participated in a CCO faith study on campus because I like learning about new religions.  I am participating in the Howe Hall lipdub.

What is your favourite place on campus and why?

My favourite place on campus is the SUB while my favourite place in Halifax is Point Pleasant Park. I have had so many great memories in the SUB, such as my weekly meetings with the CCO, studying with friends on higher-level floors, and playing billiards at the Grawood, and failing miserably at it until one of my friends finally showed me how to do it. Point Pleasant Park is a wonder, since it’s such a great park right by the ocean, and I loved biking through there with a bike I rented from a business owned by a former Dal student.

Why are you running for the DSU?

I am running for the DSU because I really believe that I am competent for this position. I do not think that this will negatively influence my schoolwork because I work better under pressure. I feel l is very sociable and can relate to people well, and that is a skill that I can use to bring people together. The student union represents the student body of Dalhousie, and it is important for everyone’s voice to be heard.

What’s your best memory from your time at Dal?

My best memory from my time at Dal was frosh week. I knew right then and there that my life would change forever. It was my first time being away from home, and first time ever being in Halifax. I was scared at first, but then, meeting my roommate and becoming close friends with her and participating in frosh week events with her and many friends I’d made on campus made it clear that Dal is the place to be for me.

What would be your top three priorities if you got elected to this position?

1- Unite the student body and representing what they want by talking to the faculty and the board of directors.

2- Argue on behalf of the students in the plagiarism hearings in the Senate and represent students’ interests.

3- To cooperate well with my fellow student union members to make the Dalhousie student union a fully functional and great organization on campus.

                                                                Is it Gray-wood or Grah-wood?

It’s the truth that no one will ever know. But yeah, gray-wood.
