What is your past experience with the DSU or with student life in general on campus?

I spent my first year in Risley Hall, as part of Rock House council, as well as a first year representative on the Management Society. Last year I worked as a Residence Assistant in Howe Hall, and was a Wide Receiver on the Dal Football Club (which I was again this year). Currently, I am the President of the Golden Key International Honor Society (Dalhousie Chapter).

What is your favourite place on campus and why?

The Economics Department. It's old, moldy and full of asbestos (probably). Home sweet home! Plus, it's a nice quiet place to study.

Why are you running for the DSU?

Having worked and volunteered with a few highly motivated leaders in my first year (past-president Courtney Larkin, Evan Price, and Jamie Arron), I always saw myself trying for a position that would challenge my creativity and leadership skills. VP Internal would do just that. The reason I chose this position over the others is because I feel my skill-set is perfectly tailored to the VPI job description, less so to the others.

What’s your best memory from your time at Dal?

Winning homecoming this year (football). We had a lot of people who up to watch the game and it was great to finally get a win!

What would be your top three priorities if you got elected to this position?

i.  Increasing grant budget for societies.

ii. Promoting varsity sports by providing free cover (Grawood or T-Room) to students who go to each game.

iii. Finding a way to improve communication between DSU and students and more effectively promote on-campus events (by providing a cash prize for a unique student made APP created for this purpose).
